Opening Plenary and Introduction

Opening plenary highlights include:
- Welcome by the meeting chair – Silvia De Sanjose, USA
- Welcome by the IPVS President – Margaret Stanley, UK
- Frontiers in modern Oncology in Spain – lecture by Luis Paz-Ares, Spain
- Immunology – lecture by Rafi Ahmed, USA
- Ball de bastons (“Stick dance”) – traditional Catalan folk dance with origins going back to ritual dance for battles fought with swords

Networking dinner will be held in the beautiful architectural complex of the Drassanes Reials de Barcelona, the seat of the Maritime Museum of Barcelona. It is one of the most important civil Gothic industrial buildings still standing, a first-class cultural facility located in the historic center of Catalonia’s capital.

Exhibition Area
The Women at the Center Film Festival will showcase a variety of films that illustrate the challenges and resiliency of women around the world who are confronted by complex reproductive and sexual health issues.
The festival movies will be showcased in the Exhibition.
